The Zoo!

Recently, Dude and I had the great pleasure of going to the zoo with our very dear friend and her precious twin girls. Let me just start off by saying, the Dallas Zoo is way cool and if you haven't been since the remodel- you are missing out!

Dude and the Twins loved all the animals and being outside. My friend and I enjoyed gabbing and catching up while walking all over the monkey habitat, in the bird cage (yep, I went in there and have pictures to prove it), the alligator cove, the giant safari section featuring the elephants, giraffes, and tigers.

We stopped for a picnic lunch at the Safari Grill (note: there were bees swarming us, but they were the 'non-stinging' kind), and then made our plan of attack for the children's area of the zoo.

This is the part that probably the most fun for my Dude and Twin L. There were real, live, billy goats (or, bee-got if you are my Dude). Anyway, the kids got out of their strollers and ran around with these beasts. Dude was not afraid. In fact, there were 2 bee-got's doing the nas-tay in the pin and Dude just pointed and went on with his new fascination...Ahh the joys of being naive.

Thank you Liz and Twins for a fab day at The Dallas Zoo! We cannot wait to go back for more! (We've already started learning new animal sounds!)
